Anna and I started cruising 8 years ago and to-date we have cruised to over 33 countries. Our journeys have left us with some of the the most rich and rewarding experiences that we’ve ever had together.

Our goal is to cruise to every country on the planet. According to the United Nations, there are 192 countries in the world so we have just 145 more to go. Wish us luck!

I know that some countries are landlocked, like Niger in Africa, or Andorra in Europe, so it will be impossible to cruise to them. In these instances I will cruise to one of their neighbors and then cross the border by foot as I try to reach my goal.

I know also that there are some countries that make it difficult for some to enter for what to me seems like no really good reason. Traveling around the world I believe, should be an option for all of us who have that desire and are willing to live by the laws of the countries we visit while we are there. For a long time now I have been hoping that all countries be welcoming to most if not all.  In other words, a world without borders as we know it.  Yes a borderless world for travel, where freedom of movement would exist for most of us. Why shouldn’t it be that way?  You may call me naive but hopefully one day the world would be  rid of selfish man-made borders that are most times just rooted in greed. Just think about this – Why should some people’s capacity to travel be restricted by where they were born, while others are allowed to roam the earth virtually freely?

I know that some countries are landlocked, like Niger in Africa, or Andorra in Europe, so it will be impossible to cruise to them. In these instances I will cruise to one of their neighbors and then cross the border by foot as I try to reach my goal.

I cruise for several reasons. One of them is to meet new people around the world. To speak and eat with them. To hear their stories and to tell them my own. There are now going on eight billion of us out there and I am excited to meet as many as I can, especially the ones that look and sound a little different from me.

Another reason that I cruise is to enjoy the beauty of the planet. There are incredible places to see all around the globe.   From the majestic skylines of big cities to the natural wonders of small towns.  From the waters of the ocean to the rocks of the mountains. I am intrigued by it all and will only stop when I can not go any further.

Follow me now on this journey to the far corners of the earth.
